CAT North fosters a positive learning environment by purchasing up-to-date detailing equipment supported by the Education Foundation.

During the 2024 Fall Grant Cycle, the Repair and Refinishing program at CAT North funded state of the art detailing equipment including a foam cannon, air cannon and high volume fan.

The Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County Public Schools awarded a grant to enhance their programs efficiency, reduce program waste and significantly improve the quality of their finished products.

Through the purchase of up-to-date equipment CAT North enhanced their curriculum as students are now provided with relevant, hands-on skills because of the up-to-date equipment that directly correlates to the workforce.

In developing the work-based learning skills, some students may argue that there is one overarching benefit that trumps the others. As one CAT North student puts it, “These tools make our lives easier”
