Congratulations to the 2023 Anne Arundel County Teachers of the Year!

Our 2023 AACPS Teacher of the Year, Mary Kay Connerton, is a Physical Education and Wellness Teacher at Annapolis High School created and leads the school’s Trauma-Informed Leadership Team and utilizes a whole-school approach to connect with teachers, administration, school counselors, social workers, and community partners.

The 2023 Independent School Teacher of the Year, Pamela Hernick, is a Social Studies Teacher at St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis.

The 2023 Principal of the Year, Richard Rogers, is the leader at Mills-Parole Elementary School.

The 2023 Educational Support Professional of the Year, Devon Sanders, works at Ruth Parker Eason School.
